Heavy Motor Vehicle
The Government of Odisha (GoO) through the Transport Commissioner-cum-Chairperson, STA is desirous to promote the road safety & driver training institute in the State of Odisha in the Heavy Motor Vehicle sector through public private partnership (PPP) and as a part of this effort, it has constructed a Heavy Motor Vehicle Training Institute at Keonjhar in the District of Keonjhar through financial assistance from Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India.
Heavy Motor Vehicle(HMV)
The Government of Odisha is interested to operate and manage the training institute through “PPP” basis with an aim to impart quality training to drivers in the Heavy Motor Vehicle segment in the State of Odisha and as part of this endeavor the Government of Odisha had floated a request for proposal dated March, 09, 2010 for inviting and issued a letter of interest dated July, 18, 2011 declaring M/s Ashok Leyland Limited as preferred bidder and entered the memorandum of Agreement with the Ashok Leyland.
OSociety for Govt. of Odisha – Ashok Leyland HMV Driver Training Institute established during 2011 and registered under Odisha Society’s registration act XXI of 1860 under No. 23392/13 of 2012-2013.The Institute was inaugurated by then Hon’ble Minister of Finance Govt. of Odisha, Shri Prafulla Chandra Ghadai, on 23rd of Dec 2011
